Our Mission:
The mission of First Lutheran School is to assist parents in preparing their children for this life and the next by providing an excellent Christian education.
Our Vision
At First Lutheran School, our vision is to cultivate students who are academically accomplished, spiritually grounded, and socially responsible, equipped with the skills, character, and faith to lead and thrive in a dynamic world.
Core Values
Our Core Values guide students to live with purpose, compassion, and moral responsibility, fostering spiritual growth and ethical development in both academic and personal life.
GRIT
So whether you eat or drink, or do anything else, do everything to the glory of God. - 1 Corinthians 10:31
Grit is the combination of passion and perseverance in order to accomplish long-term goals. It requires hard work, discipline, and care. Our students are encouraged, "Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." By showing grit - when they "keep climbing" - our students learn from their mistakes and develop character, which gives glory to God.
SERVICE
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. - Ephesians 6:7-8
Service is helping others with love and kindness to honor God. By serving, students learn compassion, build friendships, and feel joy in making a difference, all while following Jesus' example and bringing glory to God through their actions.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. - Philippians 2:3
Humility means putting others first and not being proud. Jesus showed perfect humility by giving His life for others. By being humble, students learn to care for others, be kind, and show love, honoring God through their actions and making the world a better place.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. - Mark 12:30-31
Love means caring for others, putting their needs before your own, just like Jesus taught. By loving others, students build kindness, strengthen friendships, and follow Jesus’ example, bringing joy and peace while honoring God through their actions.
